Since Oren Lavie’s music video ‘Her mornings elegance’ there have been tons of people trying to push on aerial view stop frame animations, Sarah and I for one a music video for the track Pigsy in Space from Monkey; Journey to the West (here).
But by far the best attempt at pushing it into a new realm of awesomeness must be coldplay with their music video ‘Strawberry Swing’. This shows a really amazing effort and loving the evil squirrel^^…
This is a fucking brilliant example of problem solving – how do you get people to take the stairs over the escalators? I wonder if it would work stairs vs lift for the 192 steps at convent garden?!
Since May we – my creative partner Sarah and I- have had a short but sweet two week placement at Wunderman, a challenging month and a half with Agency Republic and what has been an intense 3 weeks so far at twentysixlondon, working on a pitch with the CD Pete Petrella. Apart from placements we are working on refreshing our CV’s after finishing our degrees, graduating,getting a couple of d&ad in-books, exhibiting at new blood and, we’ve just found out, exhibiting at the Cream Exhibition next week. We’ve hardly stopped for air but it’s been a really exhilarating experience so far, we’ve learnt a fucking lot and met a lot of really inspiring people on the way.
I know no one really follows this blog so I am currently just speaking to myself ,but I would like to say I have neglected my digital sketchbook long enough! I have missed recording inspiritive findings and thoughts I have had these past few months on my quest into the big smoke. I have rifled through my notes and amalgamated my scribbled eyes (for cool shit to check out and write about) and notes-to-self which I will now throw out in no particular order into the digital realm.
